Test of English as a Foreign Language – Internet based test or TOEFL iBT as it is commonly known, is a test required to be taken by students aspiring to abroad for further studies. Conducted by the ETS, it has to be taken by especially those who wish to pursue a higher degree in the US. The test comprises of four sections primarily – Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking and the duration of the entire test is 3 hrs and 50 minutes, with a break of 10 minutes (Optional) after the Listening section. The sections can be further explained as follows:

  • Listening - 90 Minutes – 9 Audios

Q10 Is there a limit to the number of times one can write the test?

Ans. There is no limit to the number of times you can take the test, but you cannot take it more than once in a 12-day period. If you already have a test appointment, you cannot register for another test within 12 days of your existing appointment.
